While I have complete sympathy for Sharon in the break-up, I don't condone the method she used. There is nothing more frightening than waking up in a resort, only to discover that the person sharing your bed is missing. What was there for Max to say when he called the desk? Regardless of the circumstances, our society is such that Max would ultimately be targeted if he reported that Sharon was missing.

-- Julie, she's missing!!!

I still don't know if Max was concerned, or disgusted that she snubbed him. First time he didn't get his way. Big blow to the ego. Nobody, Sandra, Shonna, Liz, Diedre or myself had heard from Sharon for weeks after she left Max. Of course, we all knew the warm loving Sharon Woodhouse, so we knew there was a good explanation. We knew the explanation, but Sharon owed it to Max.

At four o'clock on the afternoon of July 12th, Max had a thesis advisory session with Parker Jones. The door to Jones' office was left slightly ajar while they were meeting. For a second, Max's eyes glanced into the hallway. Sharon trotted across the hallway. Max turned lobster-red.

-- Max, are you okay?

Max asked the Professor if he could be excused. He hid in the guys' washroom. Yes, two minutes later, that 5'6 combination of brains and beauty walked out of the washroom and back to Professor Healstone's office. Max stood in the washroom. People started asking if he was coming down with chicken pox or the shingles. His body was shaking and he couldn't talk. His heart desperately wanted to reach out to her. But he knew that if he did, the English Department would see a performance for the ages.

A frustrated Max decided to concentrate on writing. When she didn't contact him by fall, he started seeing other girls. He got a job teaching a grade four class at St. Catherine's Junior High. In November he was seen at a restaurant with Ms. Gilliam, who teaches grade two. The next February Max was said to be sleeping with Ms. Saltlake. teacher of grade four. Kris met him at The Keg in March and asked if he ever did salvage anything with Sharon.

-- Sharon Woodhouse? Ha! Ms Saltlake could give her instructions for becoming a master of the bedroom!

Rex will surely treat her better. He doesn't spend half the day measuring the size of his cock, and the other half in front of the mirror.
